Meet Our Team

Dr Gabriella Palomares

Dr Gabriella ‘Gabby’ Palomares, B.App.Sci (Chiropractic) and certified SOT practitioner is the Director and lead chiropractor at Buderim Chiropractic. With over 25 years experience, Gabby originally wanted to study chiropractic as a way to help people move towards a natural, healthy lifestyle, trusting their body’s capacity to heal.

‘I love my practice. It’s become a haven for people to come and recharge. A place they feel loved, appreciated and truly heard. Everyone walks in and says it’s a really healing space. That it feels peaceful and nurturing.

Sometimes at first, people aren’t sure if we can help them. But over time, they see their body is capable of true health. One of my greatest joys is seeing people turn their health around, restoring hope about their health and future.’

As not only a chiropractor but also a long term resident of the Sunshine Coast, Gabby has built her practice on the relationships she and her team have within the local community.

Dr Marni Grabasch

Dr Marni Grabasch was introduced to chiropractic early in life when she was adjusted by her aunt, also a chiropractor. Chiropractic care has helped to keep Marni fit and injury free throughout her active life.

Marni graduated from RMIT University in 2017. With a double degree in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic), she graduated with distinctions in both degrees and was one of the top students in her class. She has always utilised SOT chiropractic technique and loves the amazing results.

Outside of practice, Marni likes to stay fit and travel. Travelling has led her to some amazing experiences, including volunteering with an international chiropractic mission group in India. Even though Marni had to overcome cultural and language barriers, she now looks back on her months spent adjusting and caring for poverty-stricken communities of all ages, who would have otherwise been without any type of health care, as the experience of a lifetime.

Dr Marni says “I welcome everyone, from birth to all ages, as I believe chiropractic care is a wonderful tool for the maintenance of health, wellness and illness prevention. I cannot wait to meet and look after you and your family!”

I believe every ‘body’ is unique with the ability to heal itself and work to its full potential. Not only are nutrition and exercise important, so too is managing daily stressors. I found chiropractic after having four children. The benefits to both myself and my family have been amazing.

As an assistant here at Buderim Chiropractic, I’m excited to help you and your family reach your full health potential and vitality.

Ramsey Koch

As a chiropractic assistant, I’m excited to guide you and your loved ones towards optimal health and wellness through vitalistic care. My belief in the innate self-healing abilities of our bodies, coupled with the importance of nutrition and exercise, has been ingrained in me since childhood. These values have propelled me towards studying chiropractic, currently pursuing my Bachelor of Chiropractic Science at CQU in Brisbane.

Immersing myself in chiropractic care and witnessing the transformative journeys of our clients only strengthens my deep passion and commitment to the chiropractic profession.

chiropractic techniques

Sacro Occipital Technique® (SOT®)

Designed to restore the natural alignment and balance between the pelvis and the skull. Using the force of gravity, SOT® gently guides the body towards making the necessary corrections. This innovative approach focuses on enhancing the body's own healing capabilities, aiming to normalise the relationship between these crucial structures. By addressing the foundational balance of the skeletal system, SOT® not only aids in alleviating discomfort but also promotes overall health and wellbeing. This technique is beneficial for those seeking a non-invasive solution to improve their body's alignment and function, contributing to a holistic path to wellness.

The Diversified Technique stands as one of the cornerstone methods within chiropractic care, renowned for its hands-on, precise approach to spinal alignment. This technique involves direct manual adjustments to correct misalignments in the spine, focusing on restoring proper movement and alignment to 'stuck' spinal joints. During the adjustment process, it's common for patients to hear a popping sound, a natural occurrence indicating the release of joint pressure. This technique is celebrated for its effectiveness in improving spinal function, enhancing mobility, and alleviating pain, making it a popular choice among chiropractors and patients.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

This transformative approach recognises the profound impact emotions have on our wellbeing. It's based on the understanding that while emotions enrich our lives, emotionally charged events can leave a lasting imprint, especially when in a vulnerable state. These unresolved emotions can lead to 'stuck' emotional patterns, manifesting as unhealthy aversions, self-sabotaging behaviours, destructive tendencies, and even chronic health issues. NET aims to identify and help release these stuck emotional patterns, facilitating a path to emotional and physical health. This technique is a powerful tool for those seeking to overcome the emotional barriers to wellness.

Webster Technique

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved.

Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

If you would seek health, look first to the spine.

I’m so happy to have crossed paths with Gabby! A wonderful human and amazing chiropractor. Her vast knowledge of the body and training in different chiropractic approaches makes for a truly wholesome wellness experience.I appreciate that Gabby is not just cracking and popping along the spine, she’s checking in with the whole body and asks for feedback when I experience physical wriggles and jolts from the adjustments. This tells me she’s not doing stuff to me, but work with me and my body to help me to be in optimal health.I highly recommend Gabby for her care and dedication.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Gabby and her team at Buderim Chiropractic for over a month now, and I've already seen a significant improvement in my health. Unlike other doctors who have a quick in-and-out approach, Dr. Gabby has a holistic approach to chiropractic and health, which has been immensely beneficial for me and my friends and family whom I have referred to her. The practice and staff have a healing and friendly energy that is just a bonus. I highly recommend Dr. Gabby and her team.

I have been seeing Dr Gabby for several months now and I have been blown away with her care. Back pain I have experienced my whole adult life has now completely dissolved and I never realised how much it impacted my life until now that it is gone. I cannot thank Gabby enough for gifting me this life changing physical improvement. The service she provides is amazing, not just a standard chiropractic approach, but such a holistic, person centered service, aided by her lovely admin staff too. I couldn't recommend Buderim Chiropractic more highly.

This is not just a practice, for me it is like a family. From the first moment I walked in I felt the positive and peaceful vibe of this place, that made it really special and unique for me. Both Dr Gabby and Dr Marni are so professional and caring, they really are excellent chiropractors and human beings. Dr Gabby has always been so helpful and supportive with her incredible energy and motivation. I love their holistic approach and they have helped me not just with my physical discomforts (back pain, period pain, headaches) but also emotionally and mentally. After a few adjustments I have felt so many positive differences in my body, more energy, less pain and even my period got me by surprise as the pain disappeared! It’s not only about the relief though, as they really care and help with the prevention and optimization of my health. So grateful I met all the beautiful family at Buderim Chiropractic as it is the best Chiropractic care you could ask for!

Survival to Thrival

Do I need a referral from a GP?

Chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners therefore a referral is not necessary. However more and more GP’s are referring to Chiropractors via the Enhanced Primary Care Program (EPC) which entitles you to 5 complimentary visits under Medicare. Please speak to your GP for more information.

What is a chiropractic adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is the skill of maneuvering bones in a specific direction to reposition them back into their proper alignment. The purpose of this safe and natural procedure is to permit improved spinal function, improved nervous system function, and improved health.

There are many ways to adjust the spine. Usually the chiropractor’s hands or a specially designed instrument delivers a brief and highly-accurate thrust. Some adjusting methods are quick, whereas others require a slow, constant or indirect pressure.

After years of university training and clinical experience, each chiropractor becomes highly skilled in the delivery of a variety of adjusting approaches.

Is chiropractic care safe?

The New Zealand Government’s Commission of Inquiry into the safety of chiropractic profession found that chiropractic care was “remarkably safe.” Chiropractic has an excellent safety record. It is the result of a conservative approach to health that avoids invasive procedures or addictive drugs.

In relation to the treatment of neck and back pain, studies have shown that a course of chiropractic care was 250 times safer than a course of anti-inflammatory drugs.

Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
In most cases, not at all. In fact most people find having an adjustment very relaxing.

With some adjustments you may sometimes feel or hear a popping sound from the spinal joints. This is simply caused by a gas bubble that is released from the joint as spinal movement is restored. We often use a hand held instrument to adjust the spine or pelvic blocks to re-align the body. We use special techniques for adjusting infants and children. Whatever the technique, we use skill, not force or strength, to conduct a safe, effective adjustment.

Am I too old to benefit from chiropractic care?

More and more people are consulting chiropractors, especially in their later years. With growing concerns about over-medication and the side effects of combining various prescription drugs, safe and natural chiropractic care is growing in popularity.

Restoring better spinal function can help improve mobility, balance, vitality and endurance. Many patients report improvements with arthritic symptoms and other chronic ailments often associated with the ageing process. The adjusting technique used by your chiropractor will be modified for maximum comfort and results. As we get older and wiser, the simplicity and effectiveness of chiropractic care becomes more and more obvious.

How long will my treatment be?

Please allow about an hour for your initial consultation. After that, the average chiropractic appointment is about 15 minutes long.

What results can I expect?
If you’re new to Chiropractic care, you’ll want to know what type of result you can expect.  Individual experience varies from person to person, but most people can expect some benefits soon after beginning care and for these results to advance further as care continues.  Statistically, research shows that Chiropractic care is more effective and economical and also gives longer lasting results for disorders of the spine than other forms of health care.
Is a chiropractic assistant a chiropractor?

Chiropractic Assistants are here to look after you but they’re not chiropractors.

However, they do most everything else to keep Buderim Chiropractic running like a well-adjusted spine.
