helping people!
Meet Dr Gabriella ‘Gabby’ Palomares
Dr Gabriella ‘Gabby’ Palomares, B.App.Sci (Chiropractic) and certified SOT practitioner is the Director and lead chiropractor at Buderim Chiropractic. With over 25 years experience, Gabby originally wanted to study chiropractic as a way to help people move towards a natural, healthy lifestyle, trusting their body’s capacity to heal.
‘I love my practice. It’s become a haven for people to come and recharge. A place they feel loved, appreciated and truly heard. Everyone walks in and says it’s a really healing space. That it feels peaceful and nurturing.
Sometimes at first, people aren’t sure if we can help them. But over time, they see their body is capable of true health. One of my greatest joys is seeing people turn their health around, restoring hope about their health and future.’
As not only a chiropractor but also a long term resident of the Sunshine Coast, Gabby has built her practice on the relationships she and her team have within the local community.
Meet Dr Marni Grabasch
Dr Marni was introduced to chiropractic early in life when she was adjusted by her aunt, also a chiropractor. Chiropractic care has helped to keep Marni fit and injury free throughout her active life.
Marni graduated from RMIT University in 2017. With a double degree in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic), she graduated with distinctions in both degrees and was one of the top students in her class. She has always utilised SOT chiropractic technique and loves the amazing results.
Outside of practice, Marni likes to stay fit and travel. Travelling has led her to some amazing experiences, including volunteering with an international chiropractic mission group in India. Even though Marni had to overcome cultural and language barriers, she now looks back on her months spent adjusting and caring for poverty-stricken communities of all ages, who would have otherwise been without any type of health care, as the experience of a lifetime.
Dr Marni says “I welcome everyone, from birth to all ages, as I believe chiropractic care is a wonderful tool for the maintenance of health, wellness and illness prevention. I cannot wait to meet and look after you and your family!”

primary chiropractic techniques

Sacro Occipital Technique® (SOT®)
Helps normalise the relationship between the pelvis and skull, using gravity to make the necessary correction.

Diversified
Technique
Among the most popular chiropractic techniques. This hands-on approach allows us to manually adjust your spinal bones into proper position, freeing up ‘stuck’ spinal joints. This is the adjustment where you’re likely to hear a popping sound.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)
Emotions add richness to our lives. But in a weakened state, emotionally-charged events can occur, and our body may not ‘let go’ of the emotion. This may result in ‘stuck’ emotional patterns, unhealthy aversions, self-sabotaging behaviours, destructive tendencies and many chronic health problems.

What I love is about my role is seeing clients who enjoy coming to their appointments, getting the benefits of having chiropractic care and understanding why it is important.
Jo Dee Snook

Jo Dee will be back when she’s qualified and we’ll welcome her with open arms.

What is a chiropractic adjustment?
There are many ways to adjust the spine. Usually the chiropractor’s hands or a specially designed instrument delivers a brief and highly-accurate thrust. Some adjusting methods are quick, whereas others require a slow, constant or indirect pressure.
After years of university training and clinical experience, each chiropractor becomes highly skilled in the delivery of a variety of adjusting approaches.
Is chiropractic care safe?
In relation to the treatment of neck and back pain, studies have shown that a course of chiropractic care was 250 times safer than a course of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Am I too old to benefit from chiropractic care?
Restoring better spinal function can help improve mobility, balance, vitality and endurance. Many patients report improvements with arthritic symptoms and other chronic ailments often associated with the ageing process. The adjusting technique used by your chiropractor will be modified for maximum comfort and results. As we get older and wiser, the simplicity and effectiveness of chiropractic care becomes more and more obvious.
Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?
With some adjustments you may sometimes feel or hear a popping sound from the spinal joints. This is simply caused by a gas bubble that is released from the joint as spinal movement is restored. We often use a hand held instrument to adjust the spine or pelvic blocks to re-align the body. We use special techniques for adjusting infants and children. Whatever the technique, we use skill, not force or strength, to conduct a safe, effective adjustment.
